attended a conference in the morning at st regis hotel, it was rather boring and i didn't really do much there, spent lots of time at the refreshments room. haha, but the only dish i liked was the crab cake.. also met some familiar faces, but we didn't speak to each other. i'm such an introvert =/ needa socialise more..

Temasek Polytechnic's Booth: there wasn't much for us to display, no samples, no simulations, no videos.. we only have 4 posters and some brochures to give away. it was quite pathetic =( see? there is nothing much to even talk about it..

we had a table and 2 chairs there as well.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic's booth: they had some simulation of a sushi dispenser using LabView to run the program. basically, if you look at the middle of the conveyor belt, you'll see a black box, the box, senses the sushi in front of it and sends the information of it to the computer, the information includes: duration of the sushi on the belt, no. of the same sushi on the belt. it then consolidates the data and blah.. blah.. blah.. so the main point is that it disposes any sushi that is left on the belt for over X mins(you can set the time). the prototype looks promising, but i don't think the sushi restaurants need this. perhaps companies could buy the idea for other applications..
